My Story
I've been absorbing language - and its rules - at least since I was born. My parents read to me as a young child and as soon as I was able to read on my own, reading became like breathing. Writing followed shortly after, though I tried my hand at a variety of crafts in my youth. It wasn't until middle school that I truly adopted the title of Writer.
Starting in Fourth Grade, but truly deepening my craft in high school and at university, I began to delve into writing for journalistic reasons and topics. I began to learn to love research and editing grammar, as well as the writing itself.
Mental and physical health have been major issues for me throughout my life (digestive issues, stress and anxiety, my journey with MRKH) - and the ways in which they were connected started to hit home for me in middle school. Learning new dietary and exercise habits, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), were my main methods of handling these problems through my teenage years and the majority of my twenties.
As I approached 30, I found more resources for improving my health - from Human Design to Kundalini Yoga and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Now I'm learning how to understand the science behind these newer techniques so that I can help guide other people through their own mental and physical health journeys.
