Weaving words to craft stories with meaning that melt hearts and magnetize aligned souls - especially for New Earth leaders in holistic health and compassion-forward, sustainable practices.
Words Have Power
Even before I could read, I felt the power of words and the importance of integrity. Nay, before I was born.

A family friend bet my mother that I would be born male. Should he be incorrect, his end of the bet was to purchase for me every Dr. Seuss book. He was wrong - and he kept his word (as well as he could, Theodor Geisel was a prolific writer). I think I own even some Dr. Seuss books that were not written by the original author.

Compassion for all people - and standing up against bullies to protect Justice For All - were the next values that came naturally to my heart.

My dad used to read me books before I fell asleep, books filled with messages about loving people no matter how they looked or thought and protecting those who didn't have the means or might to protect themselves.
I saw this kind of compassion in the way my parents lived: the way they spoke with kindness to strangers, the way they stopped to help people stuck in snowbanks or with flat tires, the way they made themselves available to help friends and family by raking leaves or pet-sitting.
They taught me to treat every other human as an equal, even if they struggled to interact with me due to a language or physical barrier - or if I struggled to interact for some reason, such as my introversion or anxiety (the latter became more apparent in my pre-teen years).
They taught me that the clothes - and the wealth - don't make the magic of a person: it's what's in the heart that counts.
What I Do

- Write Copy and Opinion Pieces, keeping in mind the 3Cs of Written Business Communication*
- Compassionately proofread (aka "audit") your content so you can sew it into seamless shape for your audience (I don't use "Proofreader's Marks", just simple explanations for my suggested edits)

- Help you deep-dive into the waters of your subconscious* and somatics* to research the language that will guide you to a more abundant life: using trauma-informed and playful "shadow work" neurosomatic* tools

- Observe you and guide you to a better understanding of your own blocks and how best to move through them in both a safe and transcendent manner: using trauma-informed and playful "shadow work" neurosomatic* tools

My Story
When I was hunting for colleges, a family friend's daughter showed me around her campus. This was a small liberal arts college that allowed most students to design their own degree programs. She joked that everyone ended the title of their degree "For Social Justice!".

I always knew I cared about Social Justice, but I could never figure out my role in the world as an activist. Could I only volunteer to support communities lacking my resources? How could I be an advocate and an ally for people I care about who are different from me, without causing more harm?

At some point in my youth, writing became my desired career choice. Crafting characters and stories with language that emulated the brilliance of my favorite authors became a passion, something I sought after. In 2020, I moved to London for a year to obtain my Master of Arts degree in Creative Writing. While I was working on my dissertation project, I realized how much I wanted to write works that not only helped to spread compassion through the world, but which showed my own insights into the darkness that lived within my own beloved nation.

Then I moved home, got busy with life, hardly worked on my writing.

Now, 4-5 years later, I'm finally going to say it. I'm a Writer - For Social Justice!
I'd love to integrate my intuitive guidance about energy and the nervous system into that, as well. It's a work-in-progress, just like me.
